A PROCLAMATION TO RATIFY THE AIR TRANSPORT SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA AND THE GOVERNMENT OF BURKINAFASO

WHEREAS, an Air Transport Services Agreement between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Government of Burkina Faso was signed in Addis Ababa, on 14th day of October, 2003;

WHEREAS, it is stipulated in the Agreement that the Agreement shall enter into force when both parties have notified each other through diplomatic channels the fulfillment of their constitutional formalities concerning the conclusion and implementation of international agreement;

WHEREAS, the House of the People's Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified the said Agreement at its session held on the 29th day of April, 2004";

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 Sub Articles (1) and (12) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:

1. Short Title

This Proclamation may be cited as the "Government of Burkina Faso Air Transport Services Agreement Ratification Proclamation No.399/2004."

2. Ratification of the Agreement

The Air Transport Services Agreement signed in Addis Ababa on the 14th day of October 2003, between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Government of Burkina Faso, is hereby ratified.

3. Power of the Minister of Infrastructure

The Minister of Infrastructure is hereby empowered to undertake all acts necessary for the implementation of the Agreement.

4. Effective Date

This Proclamation shall enter into force as of 29th day of April, 2004
