A PROCLAMATION TO RATIFY THE AGREEMENT ON EDUCATION CULTURE AND YOUTH COOPERATION WITH THE KINGDOM OF SPAIN

WHEREAS, the Agreement on Education, Culture, and Youth Cooperation between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Kingdom of Spain was signed in Addis Ababa the 30th day of January, 2007;

WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified the said Agreement at its session held on the 4th day of June, 2009;

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 (1) and (12) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia it is hereby proclaimed as follows:

1. Short Title

This Proclamation may be cited as the “Agreement on Education, Culture, and Youth Cooperation with Kingdom of Spain Ratification Proclamation No. 638/2009”.

2. Ratification of the Agreement

The Agreement on Education, Culture, and Youth Cooperation signed in Addis Ababa on the 30th day of January, 2007 between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Kingdom of Spain is hereby ratified.

3. Power of Implementation

The Ministry of Education, The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, are hereby empowered to undertake all acts necessary for the implementation of the Agreement in this respective jurisdictions.

4. Effective Date

This Proclamation shall enter into force upon the date of publication in the Federal Negarit Gazeta.
